Kelsey-Seybold’s Pasadena Clinic Celebrates Five Years of Continued Growth and Expansion of Clinical Offerings in the Pasadena Area

Houston (June 26, 2018) – Kelsey-Seybold’s Pasadena Clinic has much to celebrate five years after the grand opening. When the new Pasadena location opened in 2013, the clinic doubled in size and expanded clinical offerings to meet the needs of the growing number of patients living in the area. Clinic staff and administrators knew that there was great need for additional services in the area, but nobody could predict that the new location would see an increase in the number of visits by 45 percent just five years later.

“The original Pasadena location was one of the first community-based clinics Kelsey-Seybold Clinic built outside of the actual city limits of Houston,” said Anna Higgins, clinic administrator, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “Many of the clinics that followed in the 90s were modeled after the successes of the Quail Valley and Pasadena clinics. These clinics offered quality, coordinated care and made healthcare more accessible in these growing communities. When it came time for us to expand and update our Pasadena Clinic, we built big knowing that the new facility and added services would gear up quickly.”

Kelsey-Seybold has had a constant presence in the Pasadena area since 1984; it was one of the first locations Kelsey-Seybold targeted for growth outside of Houston, following the success of Fort Bend’s Quail Valley clinic opening in 1980. The original clinic location on East Pasadena Freeway was home to nine physicians in five medical specialties. Today, the Pasadena Clinic has 30 providers offering clinical services to patients in 13 medical specialties. Patients living in the Pasadena area can get much of the specialized care that they need at this multispecialty clinic without venturing out of their own community.

“Pasadena and the surrounding area is a dynamic and thriving community, and we are so honored to be part of the fabric that makes living and working here great,” said Victor Simms, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P., managing physician, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Pasadena. “We expect big things for our Pasadena clinic and are excited to have reached this milestone, caring for patients at our new location for five years. We can’t wait to see what the next five years have in store!”

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Pasadena is located at 5001 E. Sam Houston Parkway, Pasadena, TX 77505, near Beltway 8 and Crenshaw Road and is one of 19 multispecialty clinics throughout the Greater Houston area.

Patients can see 30 providers in 13 medical specialties, including: Cardiology, Chiropractic Medicine, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, OG/GYN, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, and PM&R/Spine.

In addition to an on-site clinical laboratory and pharmacy, the Pasadena Clinic offers digital mammography, 3-Dimensional Breast tomosynthesis, bone densitometry, ultrasound, echocardiography and mobile CT and MRI imaging.
