Kelsey-Seybold Clinic continues to recommend an annual screening mammogram beginning at the age of 40 for all females, unless there are risk factors and symptoms that require earlier screening as determined by the individual patient’s situation. Our physician leadership continues to follow the recommendations of the American Cancer Society, which recommends annual screening using mammography and clinical breast examination for all women beginning at age 40. (We do not agree with recent recommendations by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.)
